Capital Gains Tax
For properties bought after 6/12/2011 and up to 31/12/2014, where the property is held for more than seven years, the gains accrued in that seven year period will not attract CGT.
Local Property Tax
Applies to all property for the second half of 2019 and yearly thereafter.
Yearly rate is 0.18% of the market value up to €1m and 0.25% on excess above €1m.
